Counselling to help with life's challenges

Is life just too hard right now? Maybe the things you usually turn to when things are difficult aren't working. It might be time to talk to someone who can be with you to help you as you try to work things out.

About counselling

It can be difficult deciding to come to counselling, perhaps not knowing what to expect. Counselling can help when you've tried to work things out yourself, when you've used up your abilities, or when things seem beyond the help of friends and family.

As your counsellor, I'll help you to understand the related feelings and emotions that can be overwhelming. Together we'll work to help you rediscover your existing resources, to enable you to take steps, towards healing and moving closer to where you want to be.

A quick guide to begining counselling

1 Introductory session

This is for you to tell me about the difficulty that brought you to seek help, and what you hope to get from counselling.

It's a chance for us to decide if we think we could work together and to see if I might be of help to you.

2 Agreeing to work together

In our first counselling session we’ll create a simple, respectful agreement between us about how we'll work together and how counselling will focus on what's important to you.

3Meeting regularly and conveniently online

We’ll explore together how you're experiencing your current situation helping you to better understand your self, emotions and to gain new perspectives.
